Client Objectives

TSA required a facility that would provide innovative workspaces designed to enhance collaboration and improve efficiency within the agency. 

ConCor was selected to exclusively complete communications cabling service and project work for TSA’s new Nine Story, 625,000 square foot TSA Headquarters Building in Springfield VA.

ConCor had responsibility for the installation of the Structured Cabling System within a 10 month timeframe requiring expedited material shipments and double shifts.

Solutions

Our Scope of Work included:

  • Installation and testing of a Belden Category 6 structured cabling solution consisting of:
    • 28 intermediate distribution frames
    • 1.5 million feet of Category 6 cable 
    • More than 11,000 Category 6 jacks 
    • 22,000 copper patch cords  
    • A redundant fiber backbone 
    • 8,000 fiber optic connectors 
    • 2,500 fiber optic patch cords
  • Additionally, installed more than 1,200 card readers and 600 cameras
